Studium Generale: Death or a bad day – positive sinking

Welcome to a perky conversation series on gloom. In this session, we will explore the pressure to be positive and how this norm can be challenged.

Do you have to be happy to be included? How much tolerance do we have for grief and anxiety in everyday life, and do we always know how to comfort others? This is a conversation about the pressure to be positive – and how it can be challenged.

  • The library will be serving fika (coffee/tea and biscuits).
  • During the event, inspirational talks (in English) are alternated with discussions and reflection (in Swedish and English).
  • Studium Generale is open to students and staff at SLU.
  • No advance registration is required.
