The plant café, Alnarp
Welcome to a perky conversation series on gloom. This session is about cemeteries, coming to terms with grief, and encounters that can take place in the company of the dead.
Are you the kind of person who seeks out a cemetery when you want to think in peace? We’ll talk about the encounters that can happen in the company of the dead, about the grief that can be healed there, and about what a cemetery space needs to be like to make room for feelings.
Guest speaker is Patrik Olsson, PhD, human geographer and lecturer at the Department of Landscape Architecture, Planning and Management with a focus on the historical landscape and cultural heritage
‘Death or a bad day’ is a series of breakfast talks about gloom. You can find all the dates on the library’s website: Studium Generale in the library’s calendar.
Studium Generale is a live event series at SLU campuses and a platform where students and staff meet and reflect together on society, learning and their own roles in the world.
At Studium Generale, we believe in building bridges between different backgrounds, ideas and opinions. If you like to explore multiple perspectives on hot topics and get inspiration from conversations, Studium Generale has got you covered!
