Trees For Me invites you to a webinar on the use of forest biomass, particularly hybrid poplar, as a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels in thermochemical conversion processes.
The research of the study which will be presented analyzed concentrations of elements such as Ca, K, Mg, and P in various tissues (stem wood, bark, branches) from an 18-year-old second rotation poplar plantation managed with different thinning treatments. Results showed that bark and branches had higher ash-forming element concentrations than wood, highlighting the importance of tissue-specific data for efficient energy conversion.
The presentation is held by Ali Valizadeh, post doctoral researcher in energy engingeering at Luleå University of Technology and part of Trees For Me.
