Exploring the key domains of co-authorship practices: academic integrity and authorial (academic) identity

Lunch colloquia for doctoral supervisors. The Educational Development Unit welcomes doctoral supervisors to our supervision seminars.

We will discuss the benefits and challenges of co-authorship practices between doctoral students and supervisors across disciplinary and national contexts by drawing on the following dimensions: supervisors’ writing and co-authorship, integrity and (the risk of) plagiarism and authorial identity. The key practices that can help to promote an ethical and sustainable approach to co-authorship in supervisory context and to support doctoral students in adopting a long-term developmental approach to writing will be presented.
