Important future issues for the faculty and how I can contribute

Continue embracing the wide diversity that exists in our subject areas and which is one of our big strengths. Increase the number of students in our teaching programmes. Take a larger place in the general societal debate to become more known outside of our regular domains. Continued focus on recruitment of assistant and senior lecturers. I can contribute with my experience in leading research, incl. inter- and transdisciplinary research, leadership experience, outreach activities and teaching experiences.

Personal reflections

The breadth of the NJ faculty is our strength and we need to continue embracing the breadth. Together and with the other SLU-faculties we have much of the expertise that is needed to solve many of the big societal challenges linked to food supply and the sustainable use of the biological natural resources. With my background, experience and expertise, I can contribute to the development of our faculty. This is something I would find very motivating.
