From NJ Faculty Board 11 June

Published: 15 June 2026

The faculty board devoted a significant part of the meeting to strategic discussions on recruitment strategies for senior academic positions, the long-term number and focus of subject areas, and priorities regarding the allocation of funding for infrastructure, co-financing and other important purposes, including subject areas and senior academic appointments.

The faculty board decided to recruit two senior lecturers at the Department of Energy and Technology, in the subjects of bioenergy technology and agricultural digitalisation, respectively.

This was the final faculty board meeting of the spring semester and was held at Torsåker Farm outside Upplands Väsby. The farm is owned and operated by Axfoundation and focuses on developing sustainable food and material systems.

The next Faculty Board meeting will take place on 10 September.
