Information about Canvas

Following the attack on the learning platform at the end of April, SLU has implemented a number of security measures, including key rotation and multi-factor authentication.

SLU has also reported the incident to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection and the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency. In addition, SUNET has submitted a joint police report on behalf of all higher education institutions affected.

Instructure, the company behind Canvas, has not yet specified what information has been leaked or how many SLU users have been affected.

We will publish this information as soon as it becomes available.

It is important that we continue to remain highly vigilant regarding suspicious emails or login requests.
