Revised guidelines for the aqua-alla email list

Published: 22 May 2026

When the new guidelines for using the aqua-alla email list were introduced, we received several important comments from staff members. The SLU Aqua management team has now revised the guidelines, and it is now acceptable to email ICES reports to aqua-alla.

This applies

Use aqua-alla when you have information that is relevant for all or the majority of employees at SLU Aqua.

Examples of when you can use aqua-alla:

  • Tips about new publications (scientific papers and reports) authored by SLU Aqua staff. Remember to include a summary in both Swedish and English.
  • Invitations to meetings or other activities aimed at all employees at SLU Aqua.
  • Reports from ICES meetings.

Do not use aqua-alla when your information only concerns a smaller group of staff.

Examples of when not to use aqua-alla:

  • Collections, birthday gifts, or product recommendations.

Please remember to

  • Follow SLU Aqua’s language guidelines by always including both Swedish and English in emails sent via aqua-alla.
  • Do not choose “Reply all” when responding to emails sent via aqua-alla. If a discussion is needed, move the discussion directly to the person concerned or to another relevant email group.
  • If possible, please link to a document instead of attaching it directly to the email. This way, we can avoid unnecessary storage costs.
  • Do not send emails via aqua-alla outside working hours.

Find the right recipient group

Here you can find a list of current email groups at SLU Aqua. You can use this list to identify an appropriate recipient group instead of emailing aqua-alla.
