The focus has been on improved programme pages, a better course search, and a more user-friendly structure. All content on the website has also been reviewed and republished.
New programme pages
The student website’s programme pages are aimed at admitted students at SLU. Here, programmes can publish programme-specific information and welcome letters ahead of the start of the semester. Students can also find their programme syllabus and see which courses are included in their programme.
We have worked to improve both the structure and the design of the pages to make it easier for students to navigate and find the right information. Programme syllabuses are now retrieved from Plansök, a newly developed system for displaying course and programme syllabuses.
Students have long requested a better and more stable way of viewing which courses are included in their programme. To meet these needs, we have developed a first version of a new clickable graphical view with links to the respective course pages.
This view retrieves information from the structure in Ladok and works for most programmes. A small number of programmes with complex course structures may need to supplement this with text explaining how courses should be taken, or disable the view and instead upload a PDF showing the courses.
We look forward to continuing the development of the programme pages as Ladok evolves.
More stable course search and course pages
The new course pages and course search have been built using a newly developed integration engine that retrieves information from Ladok. This new integration engine will contribute to more stable operation of course-related functionality.
The course search has also been integrated with the website’s global search functionality and now shows only courses for the current and upcoming academic years. Altogether, this results in faster searches and better search results. Course syllabuses from previous academic years are now handled in the new system Plansök.

When the new student website is launched, it will move under slu.se and change its address to www.slu.se/studentwebb.
