Questions and Answers
1. What does this change mean?
SLU will begin automatically retrieving all phone numbers with SLU subscriptions from CMG. This means CMG determines which phone numbers are displayed in the directory.
2. What does it mean that manually entered numbers are “overwritten”?
It means that phone numbers previously entered manually in IDIS will be replaced by the phone numbers registered in CMG. These are the numbers that will be displayed going forward.
3. Can I use a private mobile number?
No. Private mobile numbers must no longer be used or registered in CMG.
4. My number in the directory is incorrect – what should I do?
Please visit the self-service portal: support.slu.se → My workplace → Telephony
5. Do I need to do anything as an employee?
No. For most employees, everything happens automatically. You only need to take action if your phone number is missing or incorrect.
6. I am a directory manager – what changes for me?
You will no longer be able to:
- manually enter phone numbers,
- change existing phone numbers,
- register or display private mobile numbers.
All phone number information is now retrieved directly from CMG.
7. Why are we making this change?
To ensure that all systems display the same, correct, and up-to-date phone numbers—without manual work and without the risk of errors.
8. What should I do if a new phone number needs to be added?
Please visit the self-service portal:
support.slu.se → My workplace → Telephony
9. When does this take effect?
As of 2 February 2026.
10. Will phone numbers for non-employees be visible in SLU’s switchboard or CMG:web?
No. Phone numbers for non-employees (e.g. students, external users, and users with service accounts) will not be searchable in SLU’s switchboard or in CMG:web. These numbers are managed directly in Omada and are only displayed in SLU’s directory.
