Two key reports – a feasibility study and a workplace strategy – have now been delivered, marking an important milestone in the ongoing development of the Western Hub’s facilities. The next step involves in-depth analysis and an updated plan for the continuation of the project.
The work to develop both office and laboratory environments in the Western Hub is now entering a new phase. Two comprehensive reports have recently been submitted to the project: a feasibility study for the entire Western Hub and a workplace strategy. Both reports are essential pieces of the puzzle in creating functional and future-proof facilities.
The workplace strategy has provided valuable insights, which the steering group will now build upon. The strategy will not be implemented in its entirety – instead, a thorough analysis will determine which elements are relevant to take forward. An architect will be commissioned to develop alternative proposals for the design of the premises.
“We greatly value the work done so far, not least the discussions and perspectives contributed by staff. This gives us a solid foundation as we continue to develop the environments in the Western Hub,” says Christina Lunner Kolstrup, Dean of the LTV Faculty.
As several new Heads of Department are set to take office this autumn, they will receive a thorough introduction and onboarding to the Western Hub project.
“The Western Hub is a long-term project that needs to be firmly anchored throughout the organisation,” Christina adds.
The complete workplace strategy and feasibility study will be available on the staff web.
