Invitation to Reflection Groups for Managers and Leaders
In the spring of 2026, the Leadership Development Unit (GHAL) will launch reflection groups for SLU’s managers and leaders — forums for collegial reflection, learning, and support in leadership.
In everyday work there is rarely time to pause and reflect together with others who face similar challenges and experiences. These groups create space for in‑depth conversations and collective development in a trusting environment.
The purpose of the reflection groups is to give you the opportunity to:
- Reflect on your own questions, situations, and dilemmas in dialogue with other leaders
- Strengthen both your own and others’ awareness of perspectives and ability to reason reflectively
- Build relationships and learning networks across the organization
Structure
- Small groups of about 5–7 participants
- Approximately four meetings per term, each lasting 90–120 minutes
- You can try one or two sessions before committing to ongoing participation in the group
- Digital meetings according to the group composition
- Sessions are facilitated by a moderator
- Confidentiality and mutual trust serve as the foundation for the conversations
- Meetings can be conducted in Swedish or English, depending on preference
Who is this for?
All experience levels are welcome, and no prior knowledge is required—the important thing is that you have the willingness and capacity to develop and actively participate in the discussions.
You should, however, hold a role either as a manager (with personnel responsibility) or a clearly defined leadership position that constitutes a substantial part of your working time. Examples include leading a research group, overseeing a large project, managing and coordinating at least 50 % of your duties, etc.
If you are unsure whether you belong to the target group, please get in touch!
