Plan your use of flex time, compensatory time and vacation in advance

Published: 20 October 2025

Here is a reminder to start planning to take any saved flex time and vacation well in advance and before the end of the year.

This applies to 31/12

  • Flex reconciliation: Max 50 hours.

  • Schablon reconciliation: Max 50 hours (all schablon over 50 hours are paid out in money).

  • Reconciliation of comp (overtime, additional time): 0 hours (all remaining comp is paid out in money).

Consider the following

  • Make a plan with your manager about the use of time. Especially if you are high in flex.
  • Take out flex in the first place. Komp and schablon can always be paid out in money.
  • Plan leave if you know that you are going on a trip that generate a lot of flex so that you do not risk ending up over 50 hours flex 31/12.
  • Make sure that the vacation days can be taken/used up during the year before you save/take out comp and schablon on time.
  • In order to save komp in time, it should be possible to take it out within the next month (unless you have agreed otherwise with your manager) Always check with your manager before saving overtime in time.
