The Vice-Chancellor has decided to award five researchers at SLU career grants for the period 2026–2029.
The purpose of the grant is to give promising early-career researchers the opportunity to develop into leading research scientists and to strengthen research environments at the university.
This year’s grants are awarded to:
- Michael Bertram, Associate Senior Lecturer, Department of Wildlife, Fish and Environmental Studies
- Martin Johnsson, Researcher, Department of Animal Biosciences
- Chloe MacLaren, Postdoctoral Researcher, Department of Crop Production Ecology
- Malin Olofsson, Researcher, Department of Aquatic Sciences and Assessment
- Maria Vilain Rörvang, Senior Lecturer, Department of Biosystems and Technology
SLU’s career grants are awarded every three years to five early-career researchers, defined as being between four and ten years after obtaining their doctoral degree. Each grant amounts to SEK 1.2 million per year for four years. The next call will be announced in 2028 for the 2029–2032 period.
