Linking farmers with consumers through e-commerce in Vietnam

E-commerce in Vietnam has supported the consumption of fruit products, thereby serving as a direct connection between consumers and farmers.

The Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development (IPSARD), the Research Institute of Fruits and Vegetables (FARVI) and the International Center for Agroforestry Research (ICRAF) held a workshop to share research results, evaluate policies on e-commerce and collect comments from stakeholders on solutions to promote farmers' participation in e-commerce for fruits and vegetables in Vietnam. The workshop was part of AgriFoSe2030’S Challenge 4 project ‘Smallholders and the e-commerce of fruits in Vietnam’ which ICRAF is part of.
