The 2019 CFI “Green Collaborative Campus” project maps the Alnarp Campus Outdoor Laboratories

Published: 17 June 2019

On June 11, the 2019 CFI “Green Collaborative Campus” team hosted a half day workshop on Alnarp Campus Outdoor Laboratories (ACOL) as part of their project to redefine the entire Alnarp campus as a laboratory.

The workshop offered a great opportunity for different participants to meet and discover mutual interests in the outdoor lab spaces. The main activity was knowledge sharing and a mapping exercise which included a walk around the campus to identify spots that are important, valuable, etc.

There were attendees from Akademia Hus, staff from LAPF, AEM, BIOTECH, Alnarp Library, the Park Department, interested PhD candidates and the CFI Team.

Facts:

Alnarp Campus Outdoor Laboratories (ACOL) focuses on the entire campus, not just previously designated “lab” areas to insure that landscape values are not overlooked in the ongoing campus planning effort

The core ACOL group consists of the CFI team (Susanna Lehvävirta, Åsa Klintborg-Ahlklo, Lisa Diedrich, Tobias Emilsson, Anna Bengtsson, Björn Wiström, Karoline Schua) and has previously gained five new members: Harald Klein (Movium), Johannes Albertsson (SITES Lönnstorp Research station), Alexandra Nikolic (Trädgårdslaboratoriet Alnarp), Neil Sang (LAPF) and Jessica Svännel (LAPF).
