BECFOR steering group starts its work!

Research school "Bioeconomy-adapted forest management" is a joint initiative of the Faculty of Forest Sciences at Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) and representatives of major employers in Swedish forest sector. The overarching goal of the research school is to secure the future competence supply for the Swedish forest-based bioeconomy.

Steering group, consisting of Charlotte Bengtsson (Skogforsk), Sara Sjöstedt de Luna (Umeå University), Per Fenger-Krog (Stora Enso), Urban Bergsten (SLU) and Raul Fernandez Lacruz (SLU, PhD student representative) will have its first meeting on October 11, 2017.

Management group, consisting of Johanna Witzell, Karin Öhman, Ola Lindroos and Gustaf Egnell will be strengthened when Emma Holmström joins it in the autumn. Emma is one of the key persons in the new research project "FRAS", which is currently recruiting PhD students
