Many heard the call to contribute to the university's 40th anniversary, and seven candidates will share SEK 190,000 for costs to carry out the activities.
When the application deadline expired on May 15, nine proposals had been received.
"It's great that so many are committed and want to present SLU's activities and research both internally and externally," says Lena Andersson-Eklund, project manager for the 40th anniversary.
The criterion for getting financial support whas that the activity should strengthen SLU as a university and bring attention to our joint operations (not individual departments, divisions, students' unions or faculties).
An anniversary podcast and an innovation competition are two of the activities that will contribute to the celebration program.
- Together with all the other events during the year, we create a great diversity and highlight SLU's important role in our society. Our combined knowledge contributes to sustainable life, says Lena Andersson-Eklund.
