Jan Bengtsson, Department of Ecology, has been elected teacher/researcher representative on the SLU Board for the period 1 May 2017 – 30 April 2020. The other teacher/researcher representatives are Ingrid Sarlöv-Herlin and Göran Spong, with Ulf Magnusson as alternate member.

Janken Myrdal has been appointed emeritus professor in agrarian history at the Department of Urban and Rural Development.

Örjan Östman has been appointed external collaboration specialist in aquatic ecology.
Vice dean Hanna Bergeå has been appointed member and chair of the steering group for the Centre for Organic Food & Farming (Epok).
The Faculty Board has decided to launch the recruitment of associate senior lecturers in soil ecology, plant pathology, structural molecular biology and microbial metabolism.
The following members make up the steering group for the Future Food platform as of 1 January 2017 until further notice, but no longer than 31 December 2019: Dean Torleif Härd, NJ Faculty (chair); Vice Dean Margareta Emanuelson (deputy chair), VH Faculty; Pro Vice-Chancellor Erik Fahlbeck; Pro Dean Lena Ekelund Axelson, LTV Faculty; Pro Dean Christer Björkman, S Faculty and Vice Dean Göran Bergkvist, NJ Faculty.
Jens Sundström has been elected alternate on the NJ Faculty Board through by-election.
Christina Dixelius has been appointed board member and Brendan Mckie alternate member as of 1 November 2016.
