ERC - Key information and advice for writing a competitive proposal

seminars, workshops |

The European Research Council (ERC) is the premier European funder of excellent frontier research.

After publishing their annual Work Programme (WP) for 2027 in the summer, ERC is expected to launch several calls targeting individual researchers, as well as small synergetic teams, including:

  • ERC Starting grants (ERC-2027-StG, with tentative deadline in October 2026)
  • ERC Synergy grants (ERC-2027-SyG, with tentative deadline in November 2026)
  • ERC Consolidator Grants (ERC-2027-CoG, with tentative deadline in January 2027)
  • ERC Advanced Grants (ERC-2027-AdG, with tentative deadline in August 2027, on top of the upcoming ERC-2026-AdG, with deadline on 27 August 2026)

During this webinar, you will get key information about the funding opportunities offered by ERC, with a special focus on novelties introduced in 2026 and 2027 WPs, as well as advice on how to develop a competitive proposal. Besides updated information on ERC funding, the webinar will include presentations by Dirk-Jan De Koning, an experienced panel member and evaluator of ERC proposals, as well as Charles Melnyk and Maliheh Mehrshad, two of SLU’s successful ERC grantees.

Register below and meet us on Zoom on 9 April, 09:00-11:00.

Welcome!
