Worth Knowing: The woman who swam with eels

The European eel is one of the world’s most enigmatic fish, and the answers to many of the mysteries surrounding it lie hidden in the depths of the Sargasso Sea. Josefin Sundin has been there and will share her experiences of the expedition to this unique place where sky meets sea, unbroken by land.

  • The lecture is in Swedish
  • Lunch is served from 11:45, in the Upper Foyer, level 1 of Utbildningshuset, above the Studio
  • Seating is limited and will be distributed on a first come, first served basis

Josefin Sundin is a researcher at the Department of Aquatic Resources. Her research focuses on human induced environmental change and behavioural ecology, both as separate research fields, and combined. She joined SLU Aqua in May 2019 to work on management of the European eel.
