Studium Generale: The Researcher superhero – autonomy, curiosity and activism

How do we understand the balance between independence and engagement? In this conversation, we will discuss the role of the academic in a world shaped by ecological challenges, technological transformation, and increasing social complexity.

• The library will be serving fika (coffee/tea and biscuits).
• During the event, inspirational talks (in English) are alternated with discussions and reflection (in Swedish and English).
• Studium Generale is open to students and staff at SLU.
• No advance registration is required.

Mindweaving

Mindweaving is a dialogue series bringing together researchers, teachers, students, designers, and practitioners to explore these questions across disciplinary boundaries.Through short presentations and reflection through conversation, we will examine how knowledge emerges through research, practice, making, and human encounter, and the roles we play.

Mindweaving is hosted by Studium Generale at SLU and the Umeå Institute of Design, Umeå University.
