You are most welcome to the next Crop Production Ecology seminar on 14 May at 15.00.

Aleksandra Savic from the Institute for Plant Protection and Environment (IPPE), Belgrade, Serbia, will give a talk on "Ecological interactions, adaptive traits, and control potential of ragweeds in agroecosystems".

This talk summarises key research findings on invasive plants Ambrosia artemisiifolia and Ambrosia trifida. It examines their ecological and biological traits, impacts on agroecosystems, and competitive interactions with other species. Special attention is given to their adaptive plasticity, enabling rapid adaptation and spread under varied environmental conditions. Field and laboratory experiments highlight the essential behavioural mechanisms of these species, aiming to enhance existing and identify new control strategies.
