Educational Seminar - Generative AI in higher education? On AI guidelines and pedagogy

In the first workshop of our ‘AI perspectives’ series we introduce Camilo Calderon and Malte Rödl who will share experiences and insights into their efforts to engage with generative AI (such as ChatGPT) in the Environmental Communication and Management MSc programme. 

In this workshop they will encourage participants to explore similarities and differences to their own teaching through a series of exercises touching upon topics like: examinations and academic integrity, guidelines for using AI in and outside the classroom, links between AI and development of generic academic competences, when and how to use generative AI in teaching, and what to look out for in the future. In order to have more useful and applicable discussions, we encourage participants to bring a colleague who also knows your programme or course.

This workshop is based on the pedagogical project Embracing AI as a pedagogical tool in the Environmental Communication and Management MSc Programme, run by the Division of Environmental Communication at Department of Urban and Rural Development.
