events | seminars, workshops |

Forests are increasingly prominent in public and political discourse, with concerns about climate change, forest damage, and sustainable management. Education in forestry can facilitate dialogue between various stakeholders to address these issues and promote understanding of sustainable forest use and its positive impact on climate protection.

This course will offer lectures about:

  • the basic statistical facts about Swedish forests and forestry,
  • the most common silvicultural measures, and the reasons for doing them,
  • the most common methods to make forest inventories, and the use of inventory data.
  • the most common forest planning methods and techniques and
  • the most common forest modeling systems, and the use of such models.
