Exhibition in Umeå: Embroideries that matter – endangered species in Västerbotten

Täcklebo Embroidery Academy exhibits its embroidered works about endangered and red-listed species at the SLU University Library in Umeå between 9 April and 29 April. Welcome to the opening on 9 April at 12:00.

At the opening of the exhibition, the embroiderers from Täcklebo Embroidery Academy will talk about the ideas and processes behind the work. Researchers from the Department of Wildlife, Fish and Environmental Studies in Umeå will also give short lectures on endangered species found in Sweden. The exhibition will be shown at the SLU University Library in Umeå throughout April starting at 9 April. 

Snacks will be served. 

Tip! On 11 April at 16:00 -17:30 you can try out free motion embroidery at our knitting and crafts café. Täcklebo Embroidery Academy will show us how. 

Welcome! 

The other two main SLU campuses will also exhibit embroidery of endangered species in collaboration with local clubs belonging to the Täcklebo Embroidery Academy. Read more the other exhibits here.
