Species in Nature and Culture – a Book Club at the Swedish Species Information Centre in Uppsala

Bug. Photo.

Are you interested in species and literature? Join our Swedish book club where we read and discuss the different books focusing on biodiversity.

Please note that the book and the book club meeting are in Swedish. See the SLU University Library calendar for an online book club in English.

The books fall into the popular science category and you don’t need any prior knowledge in the subject to understand them or participate in the book club.

We read the books and then meet to discuss them in the lunchroom of the Swedish Species Information Centre in Uppsala.

The first book is Skogen – om träd, människor och 25 000 andra arter by Anne Sverdrup-Thygeson, followed by Ålevangeliget by Patrik Svensson and Tyst jord by David Goulson.
