events | seminars, workshops |

How could you enhance your CV and also write competitive research proposals?

In your future life as a scientist, in academia or even in other sectors, your job will most likely include applying for research funding. To learn how the funding system is working, select which calls/funders to go for, and write competitive research proposals are skills that you cannot start too early with developing. In this workshop, invited speaker is Caroline Grabbe research coordinator at the Grants Office. She will provide information and advice on how to navigate the complex funding landscape and how to develop your skills as a successful proposal writer. The workshop will include;

  • Navigating the research funding landscape
  • Understanding the funding rationale of various funders
  • Funding opportunities for young researchers
  • Why it is important to practice proposal writing as early as possible
  • How to structure a research proposal – a suggested template and key tips for success
  • Q&A (ask anything you would like to know about research funding)
  • Tips on how to enhance your CV

If there are special issues you would like to learn more about, there is still time to send your requests to us.
