Movie screening in Uppsala with soup and discussion: "Talking union, talking climate"

isiting professor and former union electrician Vivian Price presents her new short movie ”Talking Union, Talking Climate”.

“Talking Union, Talking Climate” is a conversation between oil workers from California, Norway and Nigeria about their jobs, labour conditions, and thoughts on the impact of climate change on their industry. The 15-minute film offers the viewer a down-to-earth, funny and serious opportunity to understand the experiences of workers in the global North and global South as they compare notes and learn about each other’s situation. 

The movie is followed by a discussion in which the audience is invited to consider their own ideas about the fossil fuel industry, the green shift, and what a just transition might look like. 

Soup is served free of charge from 12.00. The movie starts at 12.15. The number of seats is limited.
