Rwanda today: From fragility to resilience

The Embassy of Rwanda to Sweden in collaboration with The Living History Forum invites you to an interactive evening on Rwanda’s journey of rebuilding after the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

Two panels will elaborate on the choice of the Rwandan Government to lead by people-centered politics, leveraging human qualities and promoting Rwanda’s very own moral values such as “Ndi Umunyarwanda” which unifies all Rwandans as one and has been a pillar in Rwanda’s socio-economic transformation.

The exchanges will allow for a reflection on Rwandans ability to drive change in society through thinking big, positivity, empathy, and relating to one another on a fundamental human level, which aligns with the new Inner Development Goals framework that has outlined skills and qualities most important to effectively reach the sustainable development goals.

The 20 years of cooperation with Sweden will be highlighted by the second panel as a key contributor to Rwanda’s journey towards being rebuilt and reflect on Rwanda’s transformation journey, with a focus on social protection programs, and citizen engagement, highlighting some homegrown solutions and programs.

Hope to have you join us for a great discussion with high-level panellists from both the RwandanSwedish governments, non-profit organizations, and the private sector.
