Inspire for the future - the role of forests in ensuring sustainable production and consumption.

Join the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO) and the IUFRO World Congress 2024 hosted by the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) at a high-level event to celebrate the International Day of Forests under the theme Forests and sustainable production and consumption.

At this event, a high-level panel will discuss how forest-based innovations, resource efficiency, forest- based products and ecosystem services can contribute to a sustainable lifestyle and accelerate a shift towards more sustainable consumption and production. These efforts help to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, wellbeing and a transition towards low-carbon and green economies.
