Human consumption of pharmaceuticals has increased rapidly during the last decades, and just keeps increasing.

Speaker is Tomas Brodin, professor at the Department of Wildlife, Fish and Environmental Studies, SLU. 

Many pharmaceuticals ends up in rivers, streams, lakes and oceans where they have the potential to affect aquatic wildlife. In this lecture, Tomas Brodin will explain why pharmaceuticals can be a problem for aquatic wildlife, and exemplify with research on ecological effects of pharmaceuticals conducted in lab.
