Important future issues for the faculty and how I can contribute
My perspective can primarily contribute to the important questions regarding how the faculty:
- acts and positions itself as a sector university
- organizes research, environmental monitoring and assessment, and education in silviculture and alternatives to clear-cutting
- coordinates (field) research infrastructure initiatives
- collaborates internally at SLU across geographical and institutional boundaries
Personal reflections
It feels important and rewarding to contribute to a transparent, constructive, and equitable discussion about the faculty's activities. In my role, I primarily work to enable others' research and teaching, and I want to think in terms of shared resources for common goals.
