From now on, information will be retrieved and updated regularly to Primula from the Population Register to ensure that we have accurate data for all employees in our systems.
To improve effiency of the work of the HR department — for example payroll processing — a decision was made to add a service to our payroll system that enables automatic transfer of employees’ population registration data, including:
- first name(s),
- last name,
- personal identity number,
- and address.
What does this mean for you?
You don’t need to do anything, but if, for example, you’ve been given the wrong display name in your email, you can still log in to the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket)/Population Register (Folkbokföring) and check that the correct preferred first name is selected so that it appears correctly. See the instructions in the information box below.
Please note:
- If you use a nickname that is not officially registered, it cannot be used at SLU, as we rely on the information in the Population Register.
- Preferred first name: There is still an opportunity to go to the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket) and register this. Instructions are provided below. Free of charge.
- Middle name: If you have two surnames and one of them is registered as a middle name, you can download a form from Skatteverket and submit it if you want to convert your middle name and surname into a double surname. In that case, both surnames will appear as your display name. Free of charge. Skatteverket – Change surname (in Swedish)
- If you have more than one surname but only want one of them to be displayed, please contact Skatteverket. Skatteverket – Contact information (in Swedish)
