Warning: Ongoing phishing campaign

Several phishing emails have recently been sent to employees and students at SLU. These messages attempt to trick recipients into clicking a link and disclosing their login credentials.
The emails may look different, but they often claim that you need to verify your email account, that your account is about to be suspended or deleted, or that you must confirm another action within a short time. They typically contain a link or a code that you are instructed to copy and paste into your web browser.
These emails are phishing attempts.
If you receive such an email
- Do not click on any links or verification codes.
- Do not enter your username or password.
- Delete the email or report it as phishing according to SLU's procedures.
If you have already responded
If you have clicked a link or entered your login credentials, you should immediately:
- change your password, and
- contact the IT Service Desk so that appropriate measures can be taken.
