The application has now opened for two separate calls for education funding: Best Practice funds and funds through SLU and Sparbanken Skåne's Centre for Sustainable Primary Production.

Two separate calls are open simultaneously. Applications for both calls should be submitted by 15 May 2026.

Best Practice funds

SLU are to conduct education based on scholarship or artistic practice and on proven experience (The Swedish Higher Education Act, Chapter 1, 2§). The faculty’s Best Practice funds intend to contribute to ensure that our teaching reaches the learning objectives stated for vocational programmes, as well as for general programmes and single courses.

Teaching staff at the LTV Faculty are hereby given an opportunity to competence development, by deepening their knowledge within a field, increase their knowledge about the industry – its conditions and students competence needs for a future professional life and/or to develop subject relevant pedagogics.

Best Practice is announced for 2026 with thematic orientations according to SLU strategy and focus area 2 – SLU and the data-driven present and future.

Funds for education initiatives linked to sustainable primary production

SLU and Sparbanken Skåne's Centre for Sustainable Primary Production shall work towards a robust food supply chain that promotes sustainable growth and development in Skåne over the long term. Through excellent research and education, the centre shall collaborate with industry and public actors to develop, disseminate and utilise knowledge and new solutions for a transition that balances economic, environmental and social sustainability.

The centre shall further contribute to building collaborations that harness competence and resources, ultimately leading to even better outcomes in primary production enterprises and within research, education and innovation.

Staff employed at the LTV Faculty are invited to apply for funding to realise ideas and activities within education. Applications must connect to one or more of the centre's overall target areas.

The call funds the development and realisation of education with the aim of offering competence development for professionals or developing existing courses at bachelor or master level at the LTV Faculty (excluding postgraduate courses).
