SLU has been invited to nominate a research initiative or a research center formation to compete for research funding from the Family Zachariassén foundation. This is an internal call for expression of interest.
The foundation intends to grant one research initiative with approximately 4 million SEK annually for five years, with the possibility to apply for five more years. This call for expressions of interest is open to researchers employed at SLU.
We are looking for research initiatives with the potential to have a great impact in society. Initiatives that are transdisciplinary and or take a systems approach are encouraged, but other ideas can also be relevant.
If you are interested

- Title of initiative.
- Principal investigator.
- Needs in society. Describe the societal challenge you will tackle through the research initiative. Motivate the global relevance of the research initiative.
- Benefit to society. Describe how the initiative will benefit society, in the short and long term;
- What concrete results do you intend to achieve with the research initiative during the first five years?
- Previous achievements. Briefly describe your previous research and collaboration achievements of relevance to the initiative.
- How the research initiative will achieve its results, and what unique preconditions it has to succeed.
- Co-funding. State any co-funding that you have to the research initiative, if applicable.
- Research team. List maximum five researchers (including CV or link to CV-webpage) that will be part of the initiative and key to its success. This could be additional to the three pages
