Mini fair during SLU Aqua’s Department Days 2025

We are all curious to know more about SLU Aqua’s work! That’s why we are organising a mini fair during this year’s Department Days – a chance for you to show what you’re working on, share results, highlight what you find most exciting, talk about current or upcoming projects, or showcase our shared resources.
We want to increase awareness and keep each other informed about the work being done at SLU Aqua, and to create more opportunities for collaboration within the department. Therefore, we encourage everyone to work in groups with colleagues – preferably from other divisions where your interests overlap.
Share your passion!
Look ahead – focus on collaboration across the entire department. Below are a few examples for inspiration:
- Monitoring fish – in 2030
- Why is salmon an important species?
- Do we really need to know the age of herrings?
- The marvels of ecosystem based management and where are we today?
- Educating the fish ecologists of tomorrow
- How do hot summers affect perch?
One task is to consider who you want to reach out to and develop ideas for potential collaboration. Create a way to communicate this in your booth

Be creative and find out the best way to communicate with your colleagues!
Here’s how it works
- Each group has a “booth” with a table and/or board
- Practical information on booth size, electricity and so on will be provided later
- Prepare so that it is understandable in both Swedish and English
- We have a total of 2 hours for the mini-fair.
- Please send the names of the group members and a preliminary title or subject at the latest November 3 to sann.terje@slu.se. We assume the person who sends the mail/request is the contact person.
