New collaboration increases dissemination of research data

SLU is one of the universities that operate the infrastructure Swedish National Data Service (SND), and many SLU researchers make data available through the SND Research Data Catalogue. The datasets in the Research Data Catalogue will become more widespread as they are now also visible in the Swedish Data Portal.

Sweden’s national data portal makes data from both public and private organisations visible. The portal is run by Digg (the Swedish Agency for Digital Government) and aims to promote access to and use of data for the benefit of society. Sweden’s national data portal contains more SLU data than those in the SND catalogue, such as the SLU forest map and the SLU soil moisture map.
