AgriFoSe2030 contributes with valuable knowledge at Agri4D

The programme which is funded by SIDA, is implemented in sub-Saharan Africa and southeast Asia. It includes 17 change projects as well as researcher and institutional capacity building components.

At the Agri4D panels, select AgriFoSe2030 project leaders took centre stage and shared their experiences and change stories on how research and local knowledge can be utilised as the building blocks of transformative change in agricultural policies and practices
On the last day of the Agri4D conference, AgriFoSe2030 facilitated a roundtable discussion on 'Engaging Stakeholders and Translating Science into Policy’ which was led by Sofia Boqvist, Programme Director AgriFoSe2030 and Ivar Virgin, Senior Research Fellow at the Stockholm Environment Institute. During this session, AgriFoSe2030 project leaders, delved into the challenges and opportunities of bridging the gap between research and policy implementation. They emphasised the need for multi-stakeholder collaborations, knowledge exchange, and policy advocacy to drive sustainable change in agriculture and food security.
AgriFoSe2030's participation at Agri4D panels underscored the programme's commitment to creating a harmonious blend of research, local knowledge, and policy. Through collaborations between scientists, policy makers, and communities, AgriFoSe2030 is paving the way for a more sustainable future for agriculture.
