Get involved in the 6th International Fascination of Plants Day in Umeå

Are you interested in plants and like to do public outreach? Join us celebrating the 6th International Fascination of Plants Day on the 21st of May at Curiosum in Umeå! We are looking for researchers to participate with activities in this popular science event.
The international Fascination of Plants Day is an international event launched under the umbrella of the European Plant Science Organisation (EPSO). The aim of this day is to fascinate as many people as possible for plants and plant science. All over the world, events will be organised around the 18th of May.
In Umeå, we will together with Curiosum (https://www.curiosum.umu.se) take the opportunity to organise a popular science event around plants and plant science on Saturday, 21st of May from 11-15. The event will be directed to the general public with focus on families with kids.
Do you have an idea and would like to contribute to the event?
Everyone who is interested in contributing to this event is welcome! Do you have an idea for a cool interactive activity, a simple experiment or demonstration related to plants or plant science? Or would you just like to help but do not have an idea or the time to prepare an activity? We are happy about everyone who would like to contribute and will also need people who help with the organisation before and during the event (Swedish is not mandatory!).

To get started, we would like to invite you to an inspirational meeting on Thursday, the 17th of March at 14.00 in room KB.E3.01 (Lilla hörsalen) in the KBC building (Umeå University; https://link.mazemap.com/J7yuoFz1). This will be just an informal meeting to gather and discuss ideas and it will be no problem if you would like to participate but do not have time on that day. On request the meeting can be also hold in hybrid form. Contact anne.honsel@slu.se in case you would like to join the inspirational meeting virtually.
