Fire incident in Ulls hus

For unknown reasons, a connected network hub had become overheated, causing a smoldering smoke smell.  This was discovered by the Ulls hus service staff before the alarm went off or a fire developed. However, it was only a question of time before that could have happened.

The Security Unit reminds everyone to make sure that only approved and CE-marked electrical equipment is plugged into power sockets and to always unplug equipment connected by cable when it is not being used.

This is particularly important at times where many of us are working elsewhere for longer periods.
