News from VH's board meeting on 15 December

A few short points

Anders Bjurstam has been appointed project manager for the project for the expansion of the number of students in the Veterinary Program and the Veterinary Nursing Program. He is well known at VH as he is also the project manager for the Together project.

The Dean decided to appoint researcher Carl-Gustaf Thulin as director of studies for postgraduate education. The assignment is valid until March 2025.

Regional agricultural research for northern Sweden (RJN) announces research funding. The focus will be on sustainable solutions for the production of meat, milk and crops. Read more here about the announcement (in Swedish)

New docents at VH Faculty

This year these coworkers were appointed new docents.

Isabel Blanco Penedo, Department of Clinical Sciences, in the subject Clinical Science specialization Epidemiology for Sustainable Production Systems. Title: Veterinary Health and Welfare Epidemiology for Sustainable Production Systems.

Pia Gustås, Department of Clinical Sciences, in the subject Clinical Science specialization surgery. Title: Veterinärmedicinsk sportmedicin och rehabilitering – en evidensbaserad klinisk approach.

Erika Chenais (SVA), Department of Biomedical Sciences and Veterinary Public Health. Appointed docent (Associate Professor) in Veterinary Medicine specialisation in Infectious Disease Epidemiology.

Kartik Baruah, Department of Animal Nutrition and Management. Appointed docent (Associate Professor) in Animal Science specialisation Fish Nutrition.

Christos Palaiokostas, Department of Animal Breeding and Genetics. Appointed docent (Associate Professor) in Animal Science specialisation Aquaculture Breeding and Genetics.
