Security patroller on Campus Ultuna

Published: 23 April 2019

As part of our preventive security and safety work, a pilot project with a security patroller on Campus Ultuna has been launched.

Starting 1 April, a security patroller is present on campus between 16.00 and 20.00 Monday to Friday.

‘SLU is a safe and secure place, but we want to offer an even better service and increase safety for students and staff who spend time on our premises after 16.00, when many of the regular SLU operations finish for the day. I’m happy that we can now offer this additional service on site, with a security patroller who can answer security-related questions and who will respond quickly when needed. Anything from a bag that has accidentally been locked in a room to doors that won’t open and regular surveillance tasks can be part of this assignment’ explains Johan Sjöblom, head of security at SLU.

The security patroller will primarily be present in those parts of our premises where you find staff and students outside office hours. Each patrolling session will start at the Ulls hus service centre. To contact the security patroller on Campus Ultuna, phone 018-67 30 40.

The pilot project will run until the end of 2019 and will then be evaluated.
