The world needs more SLU graduates

This is why SLU has adopted a vision of doubling the number of students by 2027. An exciting vision that demands considerable resources and the commitment from us all.

As an SLU alumnus, you are an important part of this work. You can help us reach this vision of getting more people to choose SLU for their studies. We are present on a number of platforms, and below you can find links to some of our pages and campaigns.

Modernising our programmes

As part of the ‘doubling’ project, we need to review of our programmes to make sure they meet the needs and expectations of today’s students. One example of this is adapting programmes so that there is a clear division into Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes respectively. This will not affect the possibility of qualifying as e.g. agronomist or forester, but enables more flexible study routes.

Shadow a student and open door days

If you know someone who is thinking about studying at SLU, suggest that they sign up to shadow an SLU student for a day.

Our recruitment team will also be organising open door days for upper secondary schools at our main campuses:

• 27 February in Umeå
• 6 March in Uppsala
• 13 March in Alnarp

International recruitment

We offer a number of Master’s programmes in English, and we see a large potential for recruiting more international students. This past year, we have taken part in international fairs in the Netherlands, Vietnam and Indonesia.

We are also increasing our social media presence, for example through #studysustainably and #greenstudies, the campaigns run by the NJ Faculty and the LTV Faculty respectively.
