The strategic initiative on research infrastructure at SLU continues.
The infrastructure grant is intended for infrastructure which provides conditions for world-leading research. The infrastructure could be anything from a facility, a special laboratory, a database, instruments, etc. An absolute precondition is that the research infrastructure is made available to users outside of the department.
Applications for infrastructure funding may concern acquisition or establishment of new infrastructure, or for upgrading and supplementation of existing infrastructure. Moreover, funding can be applied specifically for developing availability of the infrastructure and user support
In last year’s call, six research infrastructures were granted in total ca. 25 million SEK, divided over the period 2016-2020. The decision by the Vice-Chancellor can be found here (in Swedish) [länk].
Preliminary funds available in this year's call totals 25 million SEK, divided over the period 2016–2020. The call for applications is planned to take place every year.
Last date for submission of applications 2016 is September 12.
