Rebecca Whitlock
I’m a researcher at the Institute of Freshwater Research at SLU’s Department of Aquatic Resources. My research is primarily focused on development of Bayesian statistical methods to support assessment and management of fish and wildlife populations.

Presentation

In recent years, several of my research projects have involved development of stock assessment methodologies for salmonid species, for example: integrating genetic data into spatially structured models of population dynamics to facilitate use of spatio-temporal management measures for mixed stock fisheries; and evaluating impacts of climatic change on the life-history of Atlantic salmon in the Baltic Sea, with implications for assessment and management.  I have been a member of the ICES Assessment Working Group on Baltic Salmon and Trout since 2015.
