Creative Workshop: Write movie scripts

Do you want to learn how to write movie scripts? Director and screenwriter Calle Åstrand guides you through the basics of how to first write a script and then adapt it during filming.

Please note that this workshop is in Swedish.

Please join us for an exciting and creative workshop where director and screenwriter Calle Åstrand will introduce you to the many secrets of screenwriting.

With the help of examples and film clips taken from Calle's many productions, you will learn more about how to create characters and plots, and how to write dialogue and scenes.

But no matter how good your script is, things never turn out exactly as you have planned when it’s time to shoot! When faced with the sometimes harsh reality of production, it’s more than likely that you’ll have to adjust and adapt the script – or that you’ll realize that the original writing simply doesn't work. How do you handle that? Calle gives you tips and solid advice!

Calle Åstrand has written the script for and directed, among other things, Kenny Starfighter and no less than three Christmas calendars, including last year's "The Time Thief". He has also worked on commercials and music videos.

No prior knowledge is required. The library will provide coffee/tea and sandwiches.

To be sure of a spot, please register via the form below by April 12th, but if space is available, it is also possible to show up unannounced.
