SEMINAR IN ENGLISH Maps are powerful tools for communicating geographic information. Today there is a strong trend to use maps as a basis for decision-making.
It may sound like a pipe dream to have maps for every conceivable purpose, but there are risks in relying too much on maps as, like any other information, they contain uncertainties.
This is why we need to raise awareness about when maps are adequate as a basis and when they can lead us astray.
