Welcome to a webinar about how the research data catalogue provided by the Swedish National Data Service can be used to publish data from SLU’s environmental monitoring and assessment.
The SND data catalogue is a national repository for data where all disciplines are welcome. The data catalogue is provided by the Swedish National Data Service (SND), which is a national research infrastructure that SLU is involved in running through membership of the SND consortium.
The SND catalogue is free to use.
The webinar will cover how to get started and provide general guidance on how to publish data in the SND catalogue.
During the webinar we will go through the following:
The target audience for the webinar is primarily people in the field of environmental monitoring and assessment, but anyone interested in publishing data in the SND catalogue is welcome.
The webinar is given in Swedish.
The webinar is organised by The Unit for Data Management Guidance and Development (Swedish: Miljödatastöd), whose mission is to support activities that improve the quality of data management for SLU's environmental monitoring and assessment and work to ensure that SLU's environmental data is openly available. The Unit for Data Management Guidance and Development is part of the Data Management Support (DMS) department at the SLU University Library.
Openly published environmental data creates conditions for reuse and contributes to increased understanding of our environment and nature. By publishing data openly in a repository such as the SND data catalogue, a well-documented product is created that is possible to cite, reuse and meets the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable). Publishing data openly and making data FAIR are requirements in SLU's data management policy.
Contact us at miljodatastod@slu.se if you are interested in attending and we will get back to you with a calendar booking and link to the meeting. The last day to register is 20 November.
